We chose a very beautiful and profound symbol to be the name of our school. The Firebird is a fairy tale character from Slavic mythology, the embodiment of fire, the sun and the lightning.

In Russian fairy tales fine young men set off to seek the Firebird. Whoever comes into possession of even one feather becomes blissfully happy. The Firebird lives in a Faraway Kingdom in a lovely garden. She feeds on golden apples that keep her young, beautiful, and immortal. When she is singing, pearls pour out of her beak. The singing of the Firebird heals the sick and restores sight to the blind. A feather of hers is worth more than a whole kingdom while the Firebird herself is priceless.

She is the symbol of light and warmth and therefore life.
